Ανοίγω το τόπικ θεωρώντας ότι κάποιος έχει αγανακτησει και κοροιδεύει το Because Racecar,
που έχω κι εγώ αυτοκόλλητο στο αμάξι και τείνει να γίνει μανία όλουθε και από όλους.
Και τι να δω; Δεν κορόιδευε, μιλουσε κυριολεκτικά!

After buying my first mx5 in april this year and getting it to how i wanted it i went and sold it a few weeks back. i enjoyed every second of it but i had an itch that ive had for a few years that i had to scratch in the form suzuki carry van. I used to have a modified rascal with minilites, wider arches, bayside blue re paint, bike exhaust etc but after 3 years of abuse the rings went and i just left it sat in my yard to rot. Since then ive allways wanted a carry so sold the mx5 and bought this little beauty!!!
First up was to fit my mk1 prelude alloys to replace the steels(above). Next was to fit mk1 seats as the standard deats were a joke, i slid out of them every corner.
Then fitted my snap off boss and wheel
Alto clocks with rev counter
Head lining was scruffy so blew over it with some grey basecoat
So it was time to sort the most important thing, ride height. A quick google and found BC do a kit, bonus! Gave a mate a call but found they only lower it by 50mm. obviously needed a lot more so they did me and extra low kit. A weel later these arrived .
Set it at a sensible height for a week or two to get the feel of things
With 77bhp standard the g13bb single cam 16v engine is quite nippy but is srangled with a cat and pre cat, so got a mate to make me up a manifold back stainless system to get rid of them. Its made a massive difference and pulls so much better top end. Also let it breethe a little better with a nissan pixo/alto k&n panel filter with modified airbox.
The front end looke a little bit shit, especially the massive headlights. The bottom of the lamp is indicator so i masked it off and gave it a few coats of clear tinted with white basecoat.
Then painted the chin spoiler, wing mirrors, grill centre and fitted front fogs.
And this is how it looks now with a further 25mm drop or so.
Plans for the future are wider wheels and arches, lsd, turbo and a full hit in probably a nice red pearl.
It just makes me smile driving it and it suprises so many people when a carry van whizzes past them, they just dont expect it. Some of you will think im nuts for selling an mx5 for this but i love it.
